1. Generally, there is only one wheel cylinder on the car brake drum. With the wear of the friction lining, the clearance between the brake shoe and the brake drum increases, and a mechanism for adjusting the clearance is required. In the past, the clearance of drum brake needs to be adjusted manually with feeler gauge;
4. The improved car drum brake adopts the automatic adjustment mode, and the clearance between the friction lining and the brake drum will be automatically adjusted after wear. When the clearance increases, and the brake shoe pushing amount exceeds a certain range, the clearance adjusting mechanism will pull the adjusting rod (pawl) to the position where it engages with the next tooth of the adjusting tooth, thus increasing the length of the connecting rod, making the brake shoe position shift, and restoring the normal clearance.
